GREAT NEWS ABOUT ALUMNI CLUB MEMBERSHIP!

Van France and Dick Nunis intended all former Disneyland Cast Members to be members for life. Several contributing factors have come together to now make their vision a reality—not just for former Disneyland Cast Members but for ALL former members of the Disney cast family and our Guest members as well. But before we discuss those factors let’s look at some history.

The Club was created in 1983 as an employment benefit to provide a transitional avenue from working at the “Happiest Place on Earth” to life “outside the berm.” Additionally, the Club was to be a resource for Cast Members to stay in touch with one another, share history, experiences, life skills, talents, and knowledge.

When it was christened, the Club was a Disneyland corporate responsibility and membership was free. Back then the Club’s roster existed as a mailing list in Van’s desk. Needless to say, times have changed.

With Dick and Van no longer there to champion our Club, we became a self-supporting organization with our own elected Board of Directors. Annual membership helps cover Club expenses.

Until just after our last big reunion in 2005, in honor of Disneyland’s 50^th year, members were invoiced for membership dues on a date-of-joining basis. If a member failed to renew, they were dropped from the roster! As you might imagine, the result has been most unfortunate, as we have lost touch with many former Cast Members. Today, however, that is all changing.

Alumni Membership Eligibility

Membership is open to ALL Disney Cast Members, past and present, as well as employees of current or past Disneyland and Disneyland Resort vendors, licensees, and contractors. No matter what Park or company division, if you either are or have been a part of the magic — you still are! Too, Guest membership is open to anyone with an interest in our Club and Walt’s legacy.

Past or present Cast Member or Guest. Either way you qualify to be a member of the Disneyland Alumni Club!

In order to provide all current services — as well as more in the future — we need your help and financial support.

At present, our dues are $15 per year (roughly the price of three trips to your favorite coffee shop). And we think you’ll agree it’s a small price to pay for your key to our Kingdom.

Mailing List Only

No member, regardless of membership status, will ever again be dropped from the roster.

What happens if you don’t pay dues? You’re still on the mailing list! Through the Internet, mailing list members will still receive all emails, and be able to keep up on Club activities. Why? Because..... You’re always part of the magic! But you will NOT be eligible for all the Alumni Club has to offer until you make your  Alumni Membership active by paying your annual dues.
