Welcome to the World of “KC and the Keep Well Kids Club©” program and book, a children’s series about the discovery of good health. is the vision of Author / Creator Joan M. Jacobs which originated in a Northern California rural hospital. As Marketing Director, Joan studied parents bringing their children to the emergency room for care. While many of the habits of adults were in place, the concept of teaching children good health and safety habits at an early age became her passion. Not only would it impact the lives of the families but would also assist healthcare providers. The Story of KC and the Keep Well Kids Club®, The Lost Island of Keytonia, represents a culmination of her professional experience and is designed to inspire and educate. Diverse and colorful illustrations and characters teach positive meaningful lessons to children while promoting the Keys to Good Health! The story makes learning healthcare fun and less intimidating. “KC and the Keep Well Kids Club©” program is a children’s series about the discovery and teaching of good health, covering topics such as Nutrition, Hygiene, Dental Care, etc. Other products include “Five Keys to Good Health Kits”, Apparel, Novelties, Printed materials, and an interactive web site. Th A portion of the purchase price of each book will be donated back to the Disneyland Alumni Club. “As a physician, I am excited about KC and the Keepwell Kids Club! This integration of illustration and health care topics allows for a fun, non threatening way to educate our kids and adults on these critical health care issues while guiding them toward prevention through healthy practices and habits. As a minister of health, these are the messages I preach in my practice on a daily basis. I encourage you to join this effort and movement towards a healthy generation and culture, one KC kid at a time.”
