Helping the Boys & Girls Clubs of Long Beach

See those folks dressed in blue? They are the volunteers from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Long Beach who helped our club out at the 65th + 1 Gala Reunion Dinner Saturday night, July 31, 2021.

They were there to help The Disneyland Alumni Club’s volunteers with the smooth running of the dinner which took place at the Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel right behind Disneyland.

One of the jobs they helped out with was registration of dinner attendees as they arrived.

They also were on hand to make sure that guests with reserved tables got to their proper seats.

Another activity the volunteers helped out with, was collecting the donations of pasta and pasta sauce that were destined to be given to Caterina’s Club in Anaheim to help feed low income families.

And as a way to thank the volunteers from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Long Beach, the Disneyland Alumni Club made a cash donation to the club.

Some of the volunteers were on hand on Monday, August 30, 2021 at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Long Beach facility on Del Amo Boulevard when they were surprised to find out about the donation from The Disneyland Alumni Club.

Thanks to our members of the Disneyland Alumni Club, and after approval by its Board of Directors, we were able to present the Boys & Girls Clubs of Long Beach with a check in the amount of $5,000.

We plan to keep working with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Long Beach, and will be announcing some of those plans soon.
